The final TV show renewal and cancellation predictions for the 2021-22 season are here to start #ReaperWeek!
I considered making several last minute changes: picking which of United States Of Al and B Positive would be canceled, going negative on Mr. Mayor, and going positive on A Million Little Things. In the end, my aversion to last minute changes held me back and nothing was changed from last week. We’ll see if I regret it!
In last week’s news: CBS renewed The Equalizer for 2 seasons. ABC canceled Queens and although Promised Land was already canceled earlier this season, people were fired and they talked about it.
I’ll be updating this post as news arrives. Edits to the post on/after May 9, 2021 will be in ALL CAPS to distinguish them from the original post.

B Positive (CANCELED 5/12), United States of Al (CANCELED 5/11) – One WB Lorre sitcom was renewed (Bob Hearts Abishola), these two were not. The only reason that would have been done is that one of these two is getting canceled. Which one? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
FBI (RENEWED FOR 2 SEASONS 5/9), FBI: Most Wanted (RENEWED FOR 2 SEASONS 5/9), FBI: International (RENEWED FOR 2 SEASONS 5/9), Magnum, PI (CANCELED 5/12) – would be surprised by cancellation
CW shows predicted to be canceled
CBS & WB Studios will cancel several of their CW shows, but it’s impossible for me to predict which shows.

Dynasty (CANCELED 5/12), In the Dark (CANCELED 5/12), Legacies (CANCELED 5/12), Roswell, NM(CANCELED 5/12), 4400(CANCELED 5/12), Naomi (CANCELED 5/12), All American: Homecoming (RENEWED 5/12), Charmed (CANCELED 5/12)– The CW is for sale! I’ve got no idea how that might effect the decisions that CBS & WB Studios make on their shows, but I’ll predict they renew them all, and take a few misses on the shows they’ll inevitably cancel.

Welcome To Flatch (RENEWED 5/16)– terrible ratings.
Pivoting (CANCELED 5/13) – terrible ratings.
Fox shows predicted to be renewed
Call Me Kat (RENEWED 5/16)– low ratings. Predicting renewal on the guess that Fox won’t completely start from scratch next season with live action sitcoms.
The Resident, 9-1-1, 9-1-1:Lonestar (RENEWED 5/16) – would be surprised by cancellation
NBC shows predicted to be canceled
Grand Crew (RENEWED 5/12)– terrible ratings, rookie show
The Endgame (CANCELED 5/12) – terrible ratings, rookie show
Kenan (CANCELED 5/12)– ratings too low for a sophomore show renewal
NBC shows predicted to be renewed
Mr. Mayor (CANCELED 5/12)– ratings as terrible as Kenan & Grand Crew, leaning slightly towards a renewal prediction (vs Kenan) on the guess that pairing it with Young Rock in the schedule demonstrates NBC’s added interest in the show. Cancellation would not be a surprise.
Law & Order: OC (RENEWED 5/10), Law & Order (RENEWED 5/10), Young Rock (RENEWED 5/12), American Auto (RENEWED 5/12) – would be surprised by cancellation

Young Sheldon, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, The Great North, The Simpsons, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago P.D., Law & Order SVU & New Amsterdam were renewed for their next season before their 2021-22 seasons began. Duncanville was renewed for season 3, which began on 5/1/22. 3/14/22: New Amsterdam’s renewal was revealed to be a renanceling and it will end in the 2022-23 season.

blackish & This Is Us were renanceled and will end in the 2021-22 season.
SEAL Team aired 4 episodes on CBS, and moved the remainder of season 5 to Paramount+, it has been renewed by Paramount+ for season 6.
