Predictions Week 17: FBI: Most Wanted Is Likely To Be Renewed

FBI: Most Wanted is likely to be renewed.

Hardly a surprising prediction, but I’m still waiting for more new shows (and their results) to premier before anything interesting can be predicted.

Call Me Kat & Mr. Mayor’s time slot premier ratings both said “Not DOA” last week. Stay tuned to future results to determine their fates.

For Life  – borderline ratings, stay tuned
The Conners, The Rookie, A Million Little Things – third season shows are rarely canceled, no matter the ratings.
Black-ish,The Goldbergs, Grey’s Anatomy,  American Housewife, Big Sky  – ratings in the renewal range.

CBS shows predicted to be canceled

CBS shows predicted to be renewed

SWAT – CBS 4th season drama cancellations are rare, but it happened to Scorpion. It will be determined by its (non-public) syndication deal, since its ratings are borderline.
NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: LA, Blue Bloods, NCIS – there is some danger for these very old CBS dramas, since their (non-public) syndication deals determine their longevity.
FBI, Magnum, PI, The Neighborhood – third season shows that will have completed 66 episodes are guaranteed renewal.
SEAL Team, Bob Hearts Abishola, Young Sheldon, FBI: Most Wanted, B Positive, All Rise– ratings in the renewal range.

CW shows predicted to be canceled

CW shows predicted to be renewed

Batwoman, Nancy Drew, Charmed, Legends of Tomorrow, Dynasty, In the Dark, Legacies, Riverdale, Roswell, NM, The Flash – The CW hasn’t canceled a non-rookie show without announcing a final season (aka, “renanceling”) since Hart Of Dixie in May, 2015.

The Blacklist, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist – borderline ratings, again, stay tuned.
Manifest – third season shows are rarely canceled, no matter the ratings.

Why no predictions for Fox’s LA’s Finest, Filthy Rich, & NEXT; CBS’s Star Trek Discovery, Manhunt:Deadly Games, & One Day At A Time; CW’s Pandora, The Outpost, Devils, Coroner, & Swamp Thing; and NBC’s Transplant?

All of those shows were either no hope “mid-season” shows from the 2019-20 season delayed into Fall 2020, or shows that had aired “elsewhere” (outside the US, on cable, or on SVOD) and were bought/corporate transferred for Fall 2020 fill in purposes only. None of them have any in-season futures on US broadcast networks, so predictions for them are moot.
