ABC’s run of failure at 10pm Tuesday continues. The premiere ratings for Wicked City mark it as certain to be canceled. After having 4 dramas fail in that timeslot in 2013-14, ABC decided to have only one fail there in 2014-15. How many will it be this season?
There was some hub bub last week when The Muppets was given just a “back 3” order to finish season 1 with 16 episodes. Initially, the reaper assumed the show was now doomed, as are all freshman shows hoping for a 22 episode season. However, the show was noted as a limited series back in May, so no change as yet to the reaper’s prediction for it.
Both Friday sitcoms (Last Man Standing, Dr. Ken) have been improving their relative ratings in recent weeks, so the reaper has moved his predictions for both to “likely to be renewed”. They’ll get into the post headline when there’s room.

The Reaper Index is the ratio of a scripted show’s new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It’s calculated by dividing a show’s new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show’s own network. The network’s average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.
